- Lead Generation
We believe these are essentially the most powerful part of your online business. While content creation is important to create organic traffic to your site, once that traffic has gone to your site you need an effective way to capture leads so that you can keep in contact with followers. The chances of someone landing on your website then going back there again are actually very small so it is important that you have these systems in place.
This is what we mean by lead generation; having in place on your website a means by which to capture the details of visitors so you are able to contact them via email in the future. This means having an opt-in form on your site which requests visitors’ details in return for something which you are going to give them for free.
Once people have signed up with you, their details are captured by your email system and they should receive a series of auto-responder emails and/or newsletters which you have set up earlier. The idea of these emails is to build a relationship with your subscribers, create rapport and position yourself as a credible authority in your niche. The key is to deliver value to your subscribers and demonstrate what you can do for them.
How can you deliver value? What can you provide that will entice people to sign up with you? Think about these things and plan out what you can give away and include in an auto-responder series.
