Do you have an opt-in on your website where you are collecting leads? (If you don’t then you can find out what to create as your opt-in offer here.)
Are you following up with them? 1 or 2 emails does not count as follow up by the way. 😉
We are going to help you put together your own auto-responder email series below. This is what you can use to communicate with your new prospects to keep them happy and engaged.
It is where you can share your most valuable tips and content, tell your story and connect with them at a deeper level in order to see if there is a good fit for them to become your customer.
Your job with your autoresponder emails is to pre-qualify your new prospects.
Your outcome is that 1 of 3 things happens as someone starts getting your emails:
- They unsubscribe: This means they realise you are not a good fit for them. You should be happy when this happens because it is saving you both time knowing that it is not the right fit. Remember, we all choose to do business with someone we like and trust and not everyone is going to like you (and that is OK).
- They buy: Perfect! Then you have done your job and create an environment to attract your perfect client. The email script below will help you sell what you are offering in a nice non-sleazy sort of way.
- They don’t buy, but hang around: Up to 80% of people who find out about your business won’t buy the first time they come to your website, even when they are interested. And many of them still won’t after they get your emails because of timing. However, many of them will become your brand ambassadors and talk about you and send referrals without you perhaps even knowing.
This video will walk you through the process of setting up auto-responder emails in MailChimp and Ontraport. Even if you don’t use those platforms you will find it handy.
Don’t forget to download the script below this video as well so you can get started creating or updating your followup emails.
Step 1 – Download your Email Autoresponder Script.
Step 2 – Get an overview on how to set up autoresponders by watching the video. MailChimp and Ontraport (and other email marketing platforms) also have great tutorials with the exact steps you can take to set up your autoresponders.
